Recovery Corps Health Group (RCHG) provides an alcohol and drug-free environment providing incidental residential detoxification and medical services to men and women who are suffering from substance use, alcohol use, and co-occurring disorders. Recovery Corps operates a licensed residential facility within Los Angeles County, in California. RCHG provides treatment services to adult men and women from age 18 to age 64. The residential components are staffed 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week, with treatment services delivered daily. Additional staff members are on call 24 hours per day, seven (7) days per week for emergencies or other urgent matters. Inherent in the Recovery Corps mission is the fact that addiction is a treatable disease and its attendant medical, psychological and social problems can be treated in an effective manner such that individuals may become alcohol/drug-free and enjoy a satisfying, productive life. Sponsor's Responsibilities:
As Recovery Corps Health Group CEO, I am responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the residential program treating drug and alcohol abuse.

Extern's Proposed Duties:
The extern will observe the facility's Program Manager who is responsible for overseeing daily administration of patient intake, medication administration activities, and discharge. The extern will also observe the facility's Operations Manager who administers designated Urinalysis and Breathalyzer tests and manages emergency medication process as needed. The extern will also be given a small web research project to help the facility develop a patient resource guide that patients will utilize after discharge.
