Infinitus Systems Inc is a Healthcare AI startup funded by Kleiner Perkins and Google's Gradient Ventures. While the company's product is still in stealth mode, the team is working with multiple Fortune 500 customers. The team has previously worked at Google, Snapchat, Rakuten and Genentech. The founders are serial entrepreneurs with multiple successes behind them and experienced operators in Silicon Valley.
Sponsor's Responsibilities:
This externship will have two sponsors: An AI Trainer and the CEO. Here are their descriptions.
- As an AI Trainer, the sponsor is responsible for teaching the machine how to reproduce manual work by showing the machine how the processes are done. Unfortunately, computers are slow at learning so we have to demonstrate this many times a day.
- As CEO, the sponsor has to balance defining product and strategy, managing customers, and building the team. Every hour of every day is very different. The CEO also used to be a Venture Capitalist so spends some time every week helping other entrepreneurs.
Extern's Proposed Duties:
This is a 3 week paid externship near San Francisco.
- As an AI Trainer extern, the extern will learn how the healthcare industry works, how insurance companies, healthcare institutions and pharmaceutical companies interact with each other. The extern will use this knowledge to help teach the machine how to do work done by operational staff at many of these institutions.
- The CEO will hold semi-weekly seminars to discuss a variety of topics including Starting a Company, How Venture Funds work, How to Fundraise, Building a Team and Defining Product Strategy.
