9 lawyer entertainment law firm, mostly litigation, in the music, film, TV and IP industries.
Sponsor's Responsibilities:
We are a close-knit group predominantly representing talent in cases of breach of contract, fraud, defamation, wrongful use of images (right of publicity), and class actions in the entertainment industry challenging underpayment of royalties and profits. We are known as the go to attorneys when challenging movie studios.
Extern's Proposed Duties:
Research on potential cases, observing the attorneys at work and their interaction with clients. Also, Jan 6-10, the two partners teach a course on entertainment and media law at a local law school, which may be of interest to the extern as it provides and intensive, sophisticated look at what we do. Generally, we do our best to keep the extern occupied with interesting tasks. Some of our externs have been hired for the summer, and some have gone on to law school, with a good recommendation from us.
