Sponsor's Responsibilities:
As Director of IT Supplier Performance Management, the sponsor is responsible for a small, geographically diverse team that manages the 'business of IT' through Centene's relationships with third party information technology service providers. This team works with leaders of all IT technology areas (application development, production support, infrastructure) and business owners to maximize the results from these supplier relationships. Externs will also meet with other IT professionals from other disciplines (see Duties below).
Extern's Proposed Duties:
Externs will be given an immersive experiential interview opportunity with IT leaders and individual contributors from multiple disciplines including cyber-security, application development and support, and supplier management (more areas to be added if possible). Externs will learn how each of these disciplines helps Centene provide superior service to our beneficiaries and what skills externs should develop at UCB to prepare for these fields. Externs will be afforded the opportunity to ask questions regarding career path options, career development, and guidance on how to land that first job as well as build a lifelong career.
