ELS is an architecture and urban planning design firm that works on a variety of project types from sports and recreation centers, historic adaptive re-use, retail core and shell, office, theatre, and large scale masterplans We are a full-service firm capable of conceptual design through full construction services. We have one office location in Downtown Berkeley. The firm promotes environmental stewardship and collaboration.
Sponsor's Responsibilities:
I am licensed architect, currently working on several master-planning planning projects and also leading office interiors on a new six-story headquarters. I draw, present, and coordinate these projects.
Extern's Proposed Duties:
The extern would be given a tour of the office, and opportunity to speak to and with some of the key players on the wide range of project work. If the schedule permits they would be able to sit in on a project meeting. We would also give a brief on the current project work. A small amount of shadowing is possible, but we plan to focus the time to be more direct opportunities for discussion and questions to myself and other staff.
