Organization Description:
The City Administrator oversees the day-to-day operations of all City departments to ensure the goals and policy directives of the Mayor and City Council are implemented.
Sponsor's Responsibilities:
As Stakeholder Engagement Lead, the sponsor is responsible for leading the public engagement efforts for the ballpark that the Oakland A's have proposed to build at the Howard Terminal located at the Port of Oakland. Public engagement is critical to learn the concerns that Oakland residents have about the proposal, which will then be used to inform the creation of a Community Benefits Agreement between all stakeholders, which include the City of Oakland, the Port of Oakland, Oakland residents, and the Oakland A's.
Extern's Proposed Duties:
Depending on the dates, the extern may observe a public engagement workshop and all the work that leads to the development and execution of workshops. The extern might also sit in on regular meetings between the stakeholders.
