Organization Description:
Cal Athletics, Development focuses on the cultivation, fundraising, and stewardship of the many supporters of our 30 varsity sport programs. We partner with coaches, teams, alumni, and various campus departments to enhance the experiences of our 875 student-athletes.
Sponsor's Responsibilities:
As the Alumni Relations Coordinator, the sponsor is responsible for managing a portfolio of ~200 prospects (of former student-athletes). Emails and phone calls are made to obtain meetings with the prospects and partners across campus. The sponsor's ultimate goal is to raise engagement from student-athlete alumni. Alumni events and initiatives are held to engage with our former student-athletes.
Extern's Proposed Duties:
The extern will observe the sponsor's various interactions with donors, alumni, parents, coaches, former and current student-athletes; depending on days and schedule, extern will attend meetings. If time permits, the extern will assist in alumni event planning and prospect research. Meetings and shadowing can be scheduled based on varying desires to work within college athletics.
