Sponsor's Responsibilities:
Even though I'm no longer working and cannot give a job shadow experience, I may still be able to offer something to a Cal student. I'm a doctor who was paralyzed about a dozen years ago after an accident. Prior to that, I was in practice after graduating from UCSF in 1980 and have completed two residencies: anesthesiology and internal medicine. I'm very active and in the process of publishing a manuscript about my experiences.
Extern's Proposed Duties:
Perhaps a pre-professional student or student in the biological sciences may wish to spend a few hours to discuss medical practice, surviving paralysis, or potential areas of research. I was once involved with the selection of medical students.
